TaKesha Anderson
I am a 7 year post op Gastric Bypass RNY patient from Nashville, TN. Pre-surgery, I used to wake up each day in fear of what new ailment I would develop being morbidly obese. My time would be consumed with feelings of depression and pain, but since my surgery, I have developed better mental health and no longer live in fear. It took time developing healthier habits and staying consistent with this new lifestyle, but I am so thankful for a second chance at life.
Currently, I work with my bariatric team at Saint Thomas Midtown’s Center for Surgical and Medical Weight Loss where I am a Patient Advocate. I devote most of my free time to fitness and family, and workouts including step aerobics, running, weight lifting, and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).
I love spending quality time with my 4 children (Madison, Ellington, Tobias, and Nathan), and fiancé, Jamie. My main objective is to motivate and inspire others to not only move, but to live a healthier life and be kind to themselves.
